The organizer of the day of Friendship is the president of Brooklyn, Eric Adams. A colorful procession walked through downtown Brooklyn and gathered outside the Brooklyn Borough Hall as well as in the Columbus Park in Brooklyn.
The Polish community was represented by Bozena Kaminski, who is the CEO of the Polish and Slavic Center, as well as representatives of the Krakus senior club. The standard bearer for the Poles was Stanislaw Szumilo – an employee of the Krakus senior club. One of the seniors from the Krakus club wore the traditional Krakow dress. During the international day of friendship, spectators saw many dance and musical performances of people from different cultures that currently live in Brooklyn. Food trucks with ethnic food were also on site, so that everyone attending the International Day of Friendship could taste food from all over the world.
